Smada Cosmetics was founded in Rhode Island by two black women, born on the south side of Providence and raised on the North. Twin sisters brought up by young parents, they experienced the struggle. They wanted a way out and they created one. They had a vision and they worked hard to make it come to life. Smada is Adams spelled backwards because we are Adams'. It's our legacy and we keep it all in the family. We appreciate your business and we thank you from the bottom of our heart.

We started Smada Cosmetics out of our love for beautiful things and the need to have products that work for our skin. We have eczema and drugstore lotions and products simply don’t work for us. We decided to create something that would work and make us and our skin feel beautiful. So many businesses these days are making glosses and body butter and you’re probably thinking we don’t need another one. However, we create these products for ourselves and everyone else who is like us and needs products that make them feel beautiful. Our products are all-inclusive. You do not have to identify a certain way to use them. Everyone and anyone is allowed to feel beautiful and confident.

Smada Cosmetics makes an effort to buy all our supplies from other small and local businesses including the supplies for our products as well as marketing material, labels, etc. We take great care in purchasing from small businesses that are cruelty-free, and organic. We make an effort to find vegan products as well and the gloss base we use in our gloss is vegan and safe for use.
